STRUCTURE OF FIRE-PREVENTIVE WALL FOR BUILDING IN BASE ISOLATION STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent fireproofness from being spoiled even after outbreak of earthquake without interferring with behavior of base isolation devices by a method wherein the structure is so constructed that sliding contact parts are included between fire-preventive walls of a lower story frame and an upper story frame supported with the base isolation devices, and heat-resistant structural materials serving as sliding members are attached to the sliding contact part of the upper story frame. ;SOLUTION: A middle layer 12 equipped with base-isolation devices 13 is not fixed to fire-preventive walls 15a and 19a serving as its lower story frames, and heat-resistant structural materials A are attached with fasteners to the underside of the middle layer 12 at a construction site with the upside of the fire-preventive walls 15a and 19a being sliding installation faces. Accordingly, the heat-resistant structural materials A become capable of sliding, together with the middle layer 12, with pressure over the sliding installation faces of the fire-preventive walls 15a and 19a, and displacements relatively different in phases are allowed to occur in a section between the upper and the lower layers of the middle layer 12. Since the base isolation devices and the fire-preventive section can function without interferring with each other, interference is not made to behavior of the base isolation devices, and the fire-preventive walls become capable of keeping the fire-preventive section with fireproofness being unspoiled even after outbreak of earthquake.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
