VERY SMALL PRESSURE-TYPE MEASURING APPARATUS FOR EARTHQUAKE PRECURSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide prediction information as one field of an earthquake prediction system by a method wherein, out of the precursor phenomenon of an earthquake, a very small change in the pressure of an underground fluid is detected by a buried pipe as a very small differential pressure from atmospheric pressure. ;SOLUTION: One or a plurality of pipes 3 in which many small holes are made are buried in the ground, and every buried pipe 3 and a micromanometer 7 which is installed mainly indoors on the ground are connected by a thin conduit 6, the other port of the micromanometer 7 is opened to the outdoor air by a conduit 6 in the same manner. A system may be constituted is such a way that the micromanometer 7 is used as an indicator and an indicating recorder, that a differential pressure is fetched as an electric signal and that the electric signal is A/D-converted so as to be fetched into a personal computer 11.
