PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drastically shorten the transfer time by stopping the input of serial data in response to supply of a data transfer interruption signal and performing the retransfer control when the retransfer of decoded data is made possible. ;SOLUTION: Decoded data are transferred for every frame unit as transfer data DT to a host device 4 being the transferring destination by a DMA part 22. Then, upon occurrence of interruption of the decoded data, the data transfer interruption signal OVF is activized by the host device 4. Moreover, a pause command is issued to a CD-ROM drive 1 by a CD-ROM drive control signal DC. The data transfer of the DMA part 22 is stopped by a data retransfer control part 23 in response to activization of the signal OVF, and at the time of input completion of the serial data DS, the input of the serial data DS is stopped. Subsequently, the DMA part 22 is controlled in response to inactivization of the signal OVF by a data retransfer control part 23 to transfer the transfer data DT corresponding to a transfer interruption frame from the lead of the data.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
