INNER CYLINDER PROTECTION DEVICE FOR CHIMNEY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect an inner cylinder of a chimney against a low temperature corrosion. ;SOLUTION: A chimney is comprised of an outer cylinder 2 and an inner cylinder 3 vertically installed within the outer cylinder. A cylinder member 10 made of refractory noncombustible fabric is installed inside the inner cylinder 3. The cylinder 10 made of refractory non combustible fabric is held by a shape holding ring 13 at its upper and lower ends and its intermediate section, respectively, and than the cylinder is hung from the upper end of the inner cylinder 3. A clearance between the cylinder 10 made of refractory noncombustible fabric and the inner cylinder 3is applied as an inner cylinder protection layer 11, temperature keeping gas HG of which temperature is set to a higher temperature than a low corrosion temperature of a steel material is lowered under a positive pressure to keep a high temperature of the inner cylinder 3.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
