PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable even a beginner to safely carry out the guttural pouch incision operation of the Equine Genus. ;SOLUTION: This guttural pouch balloon catheter comprises three parts; a catheter body 3, a balloon 2 and a pressurizing and pressure reducing device 4. The balloon catheter in a reduced pressure state is inserted from the nasal foramen of a horse and is made to arrive at the inside of the guttural pouch through the pharyngeal opening of the auditory opening where the catheter is indwelt. The operator, thereafter, attempts the guttural pouch incision operation while maintaining the guttural pouch in an adequate state by pressurizing or pressure reducing.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
