PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent remaining air from being enclosed on the tip-part side and to obtain products without blisters by charging a billet to which taper heating is applied into a container and deaerating by sucking the remaining air in the container till upset is completed. ;SOLUTION: The billet 29 is taperingly heated, temp. difference is formed in the axial direction and the temp. on the side of a die 72 is made higher 50°C than that on the side of an extruding stem 28. A container 14 is advanced toward the billet 29 which is placed on a billet loader and the billet 29 which is abutted on the die 72 is pushed into the container 14. An opening and closing device 150 is closed and the outer peripheral surface of the extruding stem 28 is sealed with a sealing material. The billet 29 is upset with the extruding stem 28. The side of the die 72 where the temp. of the billet 29 is higher is first crashed and an air pool is formed on the side of the extruding stem 28 of the billet 29. Until the upset of the billet 29 is completed, the remaining air is deaerated with the vacuum sucking device and the billet 29 is extruded from the die 72.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
