PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfy the request for the task of a high priority level requesting a real time property by putting sleep in the task of a low priority level and/or shortening the time of one time for accessing a common device. ;SOLUTION: By putting the sleep into the task of the low priority level among the plural tasks for using the common device (hard disks 22) and/or shortening the time for accessing the device, the request (real time property) is satisfied for the task of the high priority level. Especially, at the time of a first task for storing image data read in an image reader 10 in a storage means (hard disk 22) and a second task for reading the image data stored in the storage means, by defining the first task as the task of the high priority level and putting the sleep into the second task and/or shortening the time for accessing the storage means, the capacity of a first memory 12 is reduced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
