PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the sticking of algae and facilitate the removing work of stuck algae by forming a cover member spread on a substrate member in contact with landscape/hydrophilic water with a titanium dioxide-containing material fixed member fixed with a material mainly made of titanium dioxide on the surface in a thin layer state. ;SOLUTION: Concrete 2 is placed on unscreened crushed stones 1 serving as the foundation of a landscape/hydrophilic facility, and waterproof mortar 3 is placed on the concrete 2. Titanium dioxide-containing material fixed natural stones 4 fixed with a material mainly made of titanium dioxide serving as a photocatalyst on the surfaces of natural stones are spread on the waterproof mortar 3. Algae are prevented from sticking the wall and floor of the landscape/ hydrophilic facility, particularly a channel or a pond, by the sterilizing action of the titanium dioxide, and a spectacle can be maintained. The growth of bacteria can be suppressed by the sterilizing action of the titanium dioxide, and the stuck algae can be simply peeled off by the sterilizing action of the titanium dioxide.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
