PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set an accurate discharge distance by a method wherein the distance between a reamer face for hollow-anode cutting and a reference face coming into contact with a cathode is set at a precise definite value by using a setting jig, and a reamer cutting operation is performed. ;SOLUTION: The discharge-distance setting jig 10 having a hole of a fixed depth, which is loosely fitted to a reamer 2 for hollow-anode cutting is manufactured in advance. The bottom face 14 of the hole at the discharge-distance setting jig 10 is placed on a reamer support 4 in such a way that it comes into contact with the surface 12 of the reamer 2, and the position of an upper ring 3 is adjusted by using a screw in such a way that the reference face 13 of the ring 3 on the reamer support 4 comes into contact with an outer face 16 at right angles to the hole axis of the discharge-distance setting jig 10. The ring 3 on the reamer support 4 is fixed to a precise position from the rear part by a ring support 8. Thereby, the distance between the surface 12 of the reamer 2 and the reference face 13 is decided automatically by the depth of the hole at the discharge-distance setting jig 10 without using other measuring instruments or the like, and the discharge distance can be decided precisely.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
