BREAK DETECTING METHOD AND WATER LEAKAGE PREVENTING METHOD FOR WATER-SHIELDING SHEET IN WASTE DISPOSAL SITE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily detect the existence of a break part of a water-shielding sheet while using a general facility and at the same time easily prevent leakage of polluted water out of a break part in the case that a break part is detected. ;SOLUTION: In an existing waste disposal site 10 provided with a water discharging pipeline 16 for flowing out of underground water and a a bleeded water discharging tank 20, an underground water discharging pipe 22 having a plurality of releasing apertures 23 is newly installed uprightly in a site in the outside of the waste disposal site 10 by communicating with the water discharging pipeline 16. The releasing apertures 23 are opened and closed to keep a prescribed head difference between the underground water discharging pipe 22 and the bleeded water discharging tank 20 and fluctuation of the water level in the bleeded water discharging tank 20 due to that the stored water passes through a break part is detected, so that existence of a break part can be detected. In the case a break part is detected, the water level in the underground water discharging pipe 22 is kept higher than that of the bleeded water discharging tank 20 to seal the polluted water in the inside of the waste disposal site by the head difference, so that leakage of the polluted water can be prevented.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
