PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an estimating method of slitting camber and to precisely and quickly manufacture a steel sheet less in the slitting camber. ;SOLUTION: At the time of executing nonuniform acceleration cooling to a slice finely dividing a slitted material in the longitudinal direction, the relationship between the change of the surface temp. in the width direction of the slice after completion of thermal recuperation and the curvature of the slitting camber of the slice due to residual stress after cooling which is caused by the nonuniform cooling is preliminarily determined by a calculating means. The longitudinal distribution of the change of the surface temp. in the width direction of the slitted material is calculated from the distribution of the surface temp. of the steel sheet, the longitudinal distribution of the curvature of the slitting camber after cooling the steel sheet is determined from the calculated distribution in the change of the surface temp. in the width direction using the above-mentioned relationship, the deflection curve of the slitting camber is calculated from the longitudinal distribution of the curvature. Furthermore, the deflection curve of the camber of the whole of the steel sheet which is generated by that the distribution of the surface temp. of the steel sheet becomes uniform temp. after cooling the steel sheet is calcilated and, by adding a value marking the negative sign on the camber deflection curve to the deflection curve of the slitting camber, the camber of the slitted material is determined.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
