WIND TUNNEL TEST APPARATUS FOR ESTIMATING DISASTER PREVENTION IN LNG BASE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of a wind tunnel test apparatus for estimating disaster preventing facilitates in a LNG base. ;SOLUTION: A liquid embankment model 5 is provided around a tank model 4 provided in a measuring part 8 of a wind tunnel 10. The liquid embankment model 5 is also provided with a plurality of small diameter opening parts 3a for jetting gas. Gas is jetted from the opening parts 3a to form a sham water curtain in the periphery of the liquid embankment model 5. Thus, the estimation of disaster prevention for water curtain facilities provided in an LNG base can be tested under the approximately same condition as the actual using condition to improve the reliability of the wind tunnel test. Further, a compressor 2, blower 6, tracer gas ejecting ports 9a and sampling pipe to measure the concentration are provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
