PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To judge the quality of the inserted state of a detection section into a high-temperature fused body by measuring the continued output time at a prescribed temperature or above measured by a radiation thermometer, and judging whether the ratio of the measured time against the designed time is a preset reference value or above by comparison. ;SOLUTION: While a detection section 3 is dipped in fused steel 13, the radiation signal from the fused steel 13 is fed to a radiation thermometer from the detection section 3 via an optical fiber 1, and the radiation thermometer feeds a trapezoidal output signal to a signal process section 5, for example. The signal process section 5 A/D-converts the output signal of the radiation thermometer with the prescribed sampling signal and stores the converted digital signal in a memory means 6. The signal process section 5 measures the continuous output time of the prescribed temperature or above measured by the radiation thermometer and judges the quality of the inserted state of the detection section 3 into a high-temperature fused body based on whether the ratio of the measured time against the designed time is a preset reference value or above or not.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
