BRIDGE MAINTENANCE-MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to carry out quick and adequate maintenance at the time of inspection by providing a maintenance data base storing bridge data for a plurality of bridges and by arranging communication inspection equipment for performing data communication between the data base and the equipment. ;SOLUTION: At the time of bridge inspection on the site or before it, data for bridges from a maintenance data base 10 are stored in a communication inspection equipment 20. Next, the data are displayed on the site by the equipment 20, the inspection is performed in accordance with inspection items contained in the data, and the inspection results are transmitted to the data base 10. Then, the data base 10 compares the results of inspection to the data of original bridges, and transmits updated data to the equipment 20; and part or all of the data updated can be displayed and printed by the equipment 20, and the printed data are used as it is as the inspection report. By doing this, at the time of inspection, the inspection report can be prepared and quick and adequate maintenance can be realized.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
