PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new technique by which a sheetlike vibrator composed of a piezoelectric single crystal is vibrated toward a direction crossing its main face. ;SOLUTION: A vibrator is a sheetlike vibrator composed of a piezoelectric single crystal. A plurality of laminar parts 18A, 18B are installed between a main face 20A on one side and a main face 20B on the other side of the vibrator. Directions 43, 44 of polarization axes at the respective laminar parts 18A, 18B are different from each other. An electrode 22A on one side is installed on the main face 20A on one side, and an electrode 22B, on the other side, which faces the electrode 22A on one side is installed on the main face 20B on the other side.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
