DICTIONARY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, DICTIONARY SERVER, DICTIONARY USE SYSTEM AND DICTIONARY MANAGING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To immediately and automatically supply the latest term and to always maintain a dictionary in a state that adapts to time by providing an updating means which updates a dictionary of a language processing system based on dictionary data which is downloaded from a dictionary server by request. SOLUTION: A dictionary management system 102 refers to a dictionary download log that is held by a storing part 2, examines what terms are registered from which dictionary and notifies them to a dictionary server 101. At the same time, it checks user's setting information and notifies a dictionary set name that makes a download request and also the upper bound of the number of words. The server 101 decides differential data which omits dictionary data that are already downloaded, enciphers them and sends them, and the system 102 decodes cipher and receives desired dictionary data. Then, a dictionary use system 103 gives received dictionary updation information, e.g. to a Japanese inputting IME and updates the dictionary of its system.
