CONTINUOUS MEASUREMENT DEVICE FOR WIRE ROPE DIAMETER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous wire rope diameter measurement device wherein, for detecting the worn degree of a wire rope, the diameter of a wire rope can be continuously measured and the worn position of the wire rope can be specified. ;SOLUTION: On both sides in the direction orthogonal to the axis line of a wire rope 2, a pair of rotative bodies 3 and 4 for example, of pulleys, held with a holding body are assigned while facing each other, and the pair of rotative bodies 3 and 4 are urged in the direction the wire rope 2 is clamped with such elastic member 8a as a spring. The approach or alienation of the pair of rotative bodides 3 and 4 when the wire rope 2 is, under the condition, delivered or wound up is detected with a distance detector such as an electronic micrometer, so that the diameters are continuously measured. In addition, based on detection of rotation numbers of the rotative body when the wire rope 2 is delivered or wound up, the length of delivery or winding up of the wire rope 2 is measured.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
