PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a magnetostatic wave resonator that has a high coupling coefficient even at a low frequency, suppresses effectively resonance in a higher- order modes and is easily made small in size. ;SOLUTION: This resonator is provided with a gadolinium-gallium-garnet(GGG) substrate 7, a magnetic garnet film 6 that is formed on the GGG substrate 7 and has a shape where at least two sides are nearly in parallel and an electrode supplying an RF signal to the magnetic garnet film 6. The electrode is provided with at least a pair of main strip lines 3, 4 extended nearly in parallel with the two parallel sides of the magnetic garnet film 6 and an auxiliary strip line 5 that connects one ends of a pair of the main strip lines 3, 4 each other in an area positioned at the outside of the magnetic garnet film 6 viewing the extended direction of the main strip lines 3, 4. The other end of one of the main strip lines 3, 4 is connected to a ground conductor and the other end of the other of the main strip lines 3, 4 is connected to an input/ output terminal respectively.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
