PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily replace information input output and conversion capability provided to each terminal equipment between terminal equipments by providing an input capability storing input capability information denoting a content of input capability usable when prescribed information is entered to a multimedia information communication terminal equipment. SOLUTION: An input capability table 11, an output capability table 12 and an exchange capability table 13 describing information input output capability and exchange capability expressed by a capability attribute item and an attribute are provided to a capability exchange section 10 in this terminal equipment. In the case of setup, in order to exchange each information transmission reception capability between the terminal equipment and other terminal equipment, when information is sent from a caller terminal equipment to a called terminal equipment, the caller terminal equipment sends the caller side transmission capability table generated by a capability exchange control section 14 to the called terminal equipment. Then the capability exchange control section 14 of the capability exchange section 10 controls the capability exchange with the other terminal equipment while referencing the tables 11-13.
