PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate the impression of human face for the other person by estimation the good impression formation level of face while defining clearness in the impression of eyes, smallness in the impression from the lower half part of face and the deviation between dimension and ratio at the respective parts of face as indexes. ;SOLUTION: The good impression formation level of face is estimated while defining as indexes three factors of clearness in the impression of eyes namely that eyes are impressed sharp, smallness in the impression from the lower half part of face namely that the outline of the lower half part of face is impressed sharp and small, and the deviation in the dimension and ratio at the respective parts of face namely that the value of dimension or ratio at every part of face does not take any extreme value. In this case, the good impression formation level of face means how much the other person feels a user's face preferable when watching that face and expresses likeness applied from the impression of user's own face to the other person. Then, this estimating method is applied suitably for a face which reduces the factors of change with the passage of time such as wrinkles and concretely, it is preferable that the method is to be applied to women aged from 20 to 30 years old.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
