TOUCH POSITION IMAGE PROJECTING METHOD FOR FRONT PROJECTION TYPE TOUCH PANEL, AND FRONT PROJECTION TYPE TOUCH PANEL SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system in which the contact position of a large-size touch panel can be made to match with its projection image position even when a projector is installed on a ceiling so that the optical axis of the projec tor is not aligned with the vertical axis of a large-size touch panel plane. ;SOLUTION: The front projection type touch panel system is composed of the large-size touch panel 1, the projector 2 which is installed obliquely front, and a personal computer 11 which has a distortion correction and conversion processing function for correcting the distortion of a projection image resulting from their relative position relation. A position coordinate point P(X, Y) touched on the large-size touch panel 1 is converted by the personal computer 11 according to a distortion correcting and converting function F to find a point p(x, y) as logical coordinates, which is projected on the large-size touch panel by the projector 2.
