WORK BASE WITH VAPOR PHASE-SYNTHESIZED FILM AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply manufacture a work base having a work contact portion excellent in abrasion resistance by fixing the film of a hard solid layer deposited by vapor phase synthesis to the portion of the base kept in contact with a work on the surface of a substrate having a smooth surface. ;SOLUTION: A diamond thin film 22 to be fixed to the tip section 12a of a support member is manufactured by the vapor phase synthesis method. A high-melting point brazing filler metal 26 is added to the surface of the tip section 12a of the support member, and the diamond thin film 22 is mounted on it so that a smooth peeling face 22b is exposed to the outside. They are arranged in a heating furnace and heated to about 500-1000°C to melt the brazing filler metal 26. The brazing filler metal 26 is solidified by cooling, and the diamond thin film 22 is fixed to the tip section 12a of the support member.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
