IMAGE MARKING DEVICE HAVING CONTRACTIBLE OUTLINE AND ITS OUTLINE CONTRACTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image marking device with contractible outline. ;SOLUTION: An image marking device 10 is provided with an outer surface section 30 and a housing 20 with a slot-shaped opening 40. A print head 90 is disposed in the housing 20, by which an image is printed on a printing medium 100 fed from a feed tray 110 and received into the opening 40. The outline of the image marking device 10 is formed by the feed tray 110 and the housing 20. The feed tray 110 can be slid inwardly from the stretched position to the inserted position in the opening 40. A guide lamp 150 extending from the vicinity of the feed tray 110 to the vicinity of the print head 90 and having a hinged end 170 is provided in the housing 20. Thus the outline of the image marking device 10 is contracted following the insertion of the feed tray 110 into the opening 40.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
