VEGETATIVE PROPAGATION METHOD OF CAMPHOR-WOOD BY CUTTAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avert the danger of physiological disorder and the occurrence of disease injuries, by excess humidity, to improve a graft-root rate and the number of adventitious root formation and to greatly rationalize the production process of nursery stock by pretreating cuttings with an auxin, thereby vegetatively propagating camphor-wood by cuttage. SOLUTION: The cuttings are pretreated with the auxin (the concn. is preferably 40 to 60mg/l), such as indole lactic acid. Further, the cuttings are pretreated with preferably diaminomaleonitrile or 5-methylisoxazole-3-o1 and the vegetative propagation of the camphor-wood by the cuttage is executed. The environment of the propagation bed is preferably maintained at 20 to 35 deg.C air temp., 40 to 65% humidity and light shielding rate of 50 to 75%.
