PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively coat a concrete block wall or the like with a good appearance by filling up a joint groove between building concrete blocks with mortar to form a backing wall surface before forming an undercoat surface, and then applying joint masking before forming a topcoat surface, and removing the joint masking to provide a joint. ;SOLUTION: When coloring the surface of a concrete block wall 2, first a joint groove between building concrete blocks 1, 1 is filled up with mortar to form a flat backing wall surface 22. Next, the backing wall surface 22 is coated with single color paint to form an undercoat surface 3. Next, joint masking is applied on the undercoat surface 3, that is, a masking tape 4 is stuck on it so that a block pattern is formed a little large. After that, colors mixed painting of spraying paint in which plural different colors are mixed is performed to form a topcoat surface 5.
