STRESS RELAXING AND IMPROVING AGENT FOR FISHES AND METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject agent useful for aquaculture of fishes or transportation, etc., of a natural fish by containing glutathione. SOLUTION: The objective agent preventing reduction of growth rate and/or survival rate of fishes by stress is obtained by containing glutathione (purified glutathione, an extract of glutathione-containing yeast or preferably a glutathione-containing yeast, e.g. torula yeast, baker's yeast or brewers yeast) as an active component. A suitable amount of the agent containing 0.2-300 mg of glutathione to 1 kg fish body weight per 1 day for 5-31 days in a month is administered to fishes corresponding to growth of the fish or a degree of loading on the fish, in a form of a moist pellet or a dry pellet, etc.
