PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an amine carboxylate salt which can introduce an imide structure into an epoxy resin or a maleimide resin and is useful in hardening or modification for these resins by ionically bonding a specific carboxylic acid to a diamine. ;SOLUTION: This compound is prepared by allowing one carboxyl group in tri- or tetracarboxylic acid (A) to ionically bond to one amino group in a diamine (B). In an embodiment, the diamine is dissolved in an alcohol and the solution is dropped in a carboxylic acid solution in an alcohol. This compound is added directly, or in the form of imidated or amidated oligomer or polymer to an epoxy resin or a maleimide resin to impart excellent heat resistance, elasticity, toughness, moldability and workability to these resin simultaneously.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
