PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the equipment cost, etc., and to improve the dewatering property. SOLUTION: A cake is obtained by cleaning the slurry to be fed on an upper filter cloth 5 by a vacuum dewatering and cleaning solution feeding equipment 11 by a vacuum box 9, a lower filter cloth 6 is lapped over the cake formed on the upper filter cloth 5, and lower squeeze roll groups 4d-4f are pressed against upper squeeze roll groups 4a-4c to perform the squeezing and dewatering by a bellows 6 between the upper squeeze roll groups and lower squeeze roll groups 4a-4c, 4d-4f which are arranged opposite to each other with the cake held between the upper and lower filter cloths 5, 6. Squeeze roll sprockets 17a-17c, idler roll sprockets 18a-18c, a reduction gear 19, and an endless chain 20 are provided, and each squeeze roll of the upper squeeze roll groups 4a-4c is rotated at the same circumferential velocity to travel the upper and lower filter cloths 5, 6.
