PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aq. emulsion contg. fine particles of a cross-linked allyl copolymer and having excellent film-forming properties even when diallyl phthalate is substantially completely polymerized. ;SOLUTION: An emulsion composition comprising an aq. emulsion contg. fine particles of a cross-linked allyl copolymer having a rate of polymn. of diallyl phthalate of least 85% and an average particle diameter of not larger than 200nm, which is obtained by emulsion copolymn. of a 1-8C acrylic ester and which comprises 10 to 40wt.% diallyl phthalate, 0.1 to less than 5wt.% α,β-unsatd. carboxylic acid and the balance of an alcohol, and a cross-linking agent.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
