PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noise analyzer which can accurately find the phase noise and amplitude noise of a periodic nonlinear system even when the phase of a carrier is not zero. ;SOLUTION: A noise analyzer is provided with a transfer function computing means 1 which computes the transfer function to each frequency component from a noise source to the output and an output noise computing means 2 which computes the output noise by using each computed transfer function and the output noise computing means 2 is provided with an arithmetic unit 4 which computes the electric power of the imaginary component of a transfer function accompanied by frequency conversion on the basis of the fundamental wave of a periodic steady solution and, at the same time, computes the electric power of a transfer function not accompanied by frequency conversion.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
