PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the infiltration of an iron plate melted in the course of operation to a brick by arranging a magnesia-chrome sheet on opposed two faces of magnesia-chrome bricks at a placing iron plate inserting part and after that, placing the iron plate to prevent shock to the brick, which causes the generation of crack of the brick, and the crack of the brick caused thereby at the time of placing the iron plate. ;SOLUTION: At the time of constructing the magnesia-chrome brick 3, the magnesia-chrome sheet 2 is previously arranged on the opposed two faces of the brick at the placing iron plate inserting part 5 in every rings. The shock at the time of placing the placing iron plate 4 is absorbed and mitigated by the chrome sheet 2 and by eliminating the direct shock to the chrome brick 3, the generation of the crack, which seems to occur by the shock at the time of executing, is prevented. The chrome sheet 2 enables to suppress a reaction with an infiltrating material formed by the molten iron plate and the generation of structural spalling caused by the infiltration of the infiltrating material to the chrome brick 3 is prevented.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
