LONG TERM PRESERVATION OF CRUSTACEAN AND APPARATUS FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long term preservation method of crustacean and an apparatus for the same capable of preserving the crustacean such as Peneus japonicus, etc., for long term stored in a container. ;SOLUTION: The container containing the crustacean is filled with fog of seawater having particle size of 1 to 60μm so as to indirectly wet the surface of the crustacean, and keep humidity in the container within 90 to 100%. The temperature in the container is kept at 10 to 13°C. The fog is produced by the oscillation of an ultrasonic vibrator 12. The seawater of 7.5 to 9.0 at pH is used. This long term reservation apparatus for crustacean installs an air sprayer 5 to generate fog from seawater by the ultrasonic vibrator and the container 1 containing the crustacean where the fog is supplied from the air sprayer 5.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
