PAPER PLASTIC CRAFTWORK OBJECTS USING DIATOMACEOUS EARTH AND PAPER FIBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a secular change of plastic paper craftwork objects which are excellently released from a mold, able to be engraved not only for picture pattern but also freely on outer faces, and easy to be additionally processed for finely mending by a method wherein Japanese paper is so many folds stuck to a doll, a mask, and a decorative dish which are made of paper plastic material in which diamaceous earth, paper fiber, adhesives, etc., are mixed, and they are finished by drying. ;SOLUTION: There are various materials as those wherein diatomaceous earth and paper fiber are suitably mixed, kneaded with an adhesive by adding moisture, and formed by putting in a mold, or turning a potter's wheel to manufacture various objects such as a doll, a mask, a dish 1, a jar, etc. The objects wherein the diatomaceous earth, the paper fiber, and the moisture are mixed, kneaded, dried, molded, and finished, are called paper plastic craftwork objects. The dry materials are very easily formed by carving, semipermanent in lives and suitable as main materials used for the craftwork.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
