PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject cover capable of preventing the clouding of its inside and attaching of scattered water drops on its outside and securing safety driving in a cold season or on rainy days by forming, on the surface of the base material of the cover, a specific layer having a contact angle larger than a specified value between the surface of the layer and water. ;SOLUTION: A substantially transparent surface layer containing photocatalytic oxide particles such as anatase-type titanium oxide, a silicone and a water repellent fluorine resin is formed on the surface of the base material of a cover, and the contact angle of the surface of the layer is 90° or more. Further, a motorcycle dashboard preferably has the following construction: it has an internal illumination and the above-described motorcycle dashboard cover which has photocatalytic oxide particles of crystal anatase in its surface layer; and the internal illumination radiates lights including both visible rays and ultraviolet rays, lights up the dashboard and at the same time excites the photocatalyst on the surface of the cover.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
