PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flower-budding induction agent which directly acts on the formation of floral buds of a plant by formulating a specific compound as an active ingredient. ;SOLUTION: This flower budding induction agent contains an α-ketol unsaturated fatty acid represented by the formula (generic name: 9-hydroxy-10-oxo- cis-12(Z), 15(Z)-octadecadienoic acid) or a combination thereof with norepinephrine as active ingredients. The α-ketol unsaturated fatty acid is obtained, for example, by extracting a plant in Lemnaceae, for example, Lemna Paucicostata and purifying the extract.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
