PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous colloid or an aqueous colloid mixture as an assistant for a civil engineering work or an underground work. ;SOLUTION: This colloid mixture comprises at least one water-soluble biopolymer such as carboxymethylcellulose ether and a water-insoluble biopolymer such as a polysaccharide and is used as an assistant in use where ground is excavated and the earth is removed, especially a component which forms foams and stabilize them in the construction of a tunnel by a shield driving method, especially a shield system operated by earth pressure.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
