PROCESS PAPER FOR PRODUCING SYNTHETIC LEATHER BY WET PROCESS AND APPLICATION PROCESSING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a process paper for producing a synthetic leather by a wet process, readily producible without regard to the kind of substrate and capable of preparing even a thin paper and improving the coating operation efficiency by laminating a thermoplastic resin film onto the surface of a water- resistant paper. ;SOLUTION: This process paper 3 is obtained by laminating a thermoplastic resin film such as OPP, CPP or TPX onto one surface of a water-resistant paper such as a synthetic paper, e.g. polyethylene, polypropylene or a polyester according to a dry or an extruding lamination and has 0.7-1.5 specific gravity. A urethane resin 2 is applied onto the resultant water-resistant process paper 3 to form a urethane resin layer 5 and a substrate 6 is then laminated to the urethane resin layer 5 on the process paper 3. The resultarnt laminate is subsequently led into a coagulation bath 8 to coagulate the urethane resin 2 in the coagulation bath 8 and form a film.
