FITTING CYLINDRICAL DEVICE FOR REPAIRING OR INCREASE WORK OF SIDE-SURFACE HOLE IN EXISTING MANHOLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve workability by fitting a pipe connection flanged cylinder with a rubber gasket attached from the exterior of the side wall in a hole made at the manhole side wall. ;SOLUTION: A curved flange 4c is provided on the thermoplastic resin cylinder 4, and one end of a cylindrical rubber gasket 5 is inserted in the outer end part of the cylinder 4. In this case, a hole clogging part 5b is provided on the insertion part 5a of the gasket 5 so that during molding the cylinder 4, pulling out of the gasket 5 is prevented by allowing molding material to pierce therethrough; furthermore, an expandable enlarged groove ring 5c is formed in the middle part of the gasket 5. Then, the cylinder 4 is fitted form the outside of the side wall 2 in a coarse side surface hole 3 made for repairing and expanding work on the circular side wall 2 of a ready worked manhole 1, thus securing the flange 4c and side wall 2 by means of bolts and the like. After that, a connection pipe 7 is inserted in the outer end of the gasket 5 to then be secured by a band 8, and also a reinforcing bar 10 is held between the hole 3 and the cylinder 4 before filling mortar therein.
