PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily repair damages after an earthquake by applying the constitution that an aseismatic post formed out of a steel web as a damper element having many slits, and a pair of steel flanges is combined with a support post for bearing a vertical load, so as to form a skeleton. ;SOLUTION: An aseismatic post 1 is made of a pair of right and left flanges 5 formed out of square tubes and a steel web 6 formed between the flanges 5. Furthermore, strip type joint plates 8 are integrally projected from the opposite surfaces of the flanges 5 formed out of two steel plates 9 having many laterally long slits 7 arranged in a vertical direction and the square tube along the vertical direction of the breadthwise center part of the web 6. Then, both breadthwise ends of each of the steel plates 9 are superposed via both upper and reverse sides of the joint plates 8. Thereafter, a high tension bolt 12 is inserted in the superposed part and tightened with a nut, thereby assembling the aseismatic post 1. According to this construction, only the web 6 gives plastic deformation, upon the occurrence of an earthquake, and the flanges 5 are not subjected to plastic deformation.
