PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an effect on the detection operation of a detecting section detecting the open-close state of door window glass of the lip section of a glass run when the door window glass is lifted and lowered. ;SOLUTION: A glass run 20 improving the slidability and sealing properties of door window glass WG is installed to the window frame 14 of a door for the automobile. The glass run 20 has a mounting base section and a seal section. The seal section has a lip section for pushing and sealing the door window glass WG. A detecting section 30 is mounted near the bent section of the mounting base section, and the entering of foreign matter between the door window glass WG and the window frame 14 is detected. A cushioning groove 31c is formed between the detecting section 30 and the mounting base section in the vicinity of the bent section. The cushioning groove 31c blocks transmission of the force of the rocking of the lip section to the detecting section 30 side when the lip section is rocked by lifting and lowering the door window glass WG, and the detection operation of the detecting section 30 is not affected.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
