PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a mistake in the selection of a shield jack by an operator, and to obviate the retreat of a shield machine and further displacement in the propulsive direction of the shield machine by automatically controlling the additional pushing of the shield jack. ;SOLUTION: When a shield jack 1 for pushing at an initial stage is selected by a shield-jack selector 31a, a sequencer 34 stores the shield jack 1 for pushing the initial stage in a memory for the selected shield jack as selected shield jack information while outputting an S/J-select ON signal to a corresponding selector valve 4. When the pushing of the shield jack 1 for pushing at the initial stage is reopened, the sequencer 34 selects the shield jack 1 for pushing at the initial stage again on the basis of selected shield jack information stored in the memory for the selected shield jack, and outputs the S/J-select ON signal to the selector valve 4 corresponding to the shield jack 1 for pushing at the initial stage.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
