PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a classification method to classify features of a face in terms of features in the form of the face and a guide line by which the features of the face are properly classified and identified in the makeup for the presentation of an image. ;SOLUTION: A face as object is positioned in a coordinate space 1 comprising a balance axis Y which indicates the length of the face and an array of elements in the form of the face containing eyes, eyebrows, a mouth and a nose and a form axis X which indicates the shape of the contour of the face or the shape of the contour of at least one element of form among those of the face to classify the features of the face. A display of representative images is made or representative images of faces classified are arranged in quadrants of coordinates to make a face feature map usable as guide line of makeup.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
