PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system stability analyzing method which can greatly shorten the analysis time, as compared with EPTM (general-purpose electromagnetic transient analysis program). SOLUTION: The transient model of a generator, a TCSC model 14 for which a control delay is taken into consideration by the relation formula between the ignition angle of a TCSC(thyristor control series capacitor) and the impedance, operational elements which serve as the transfer function of the automatic voltage controller 12 and the governor 11 of the generator, and operation elements which serve as the transfer functions of a system stabilizer 13, are made as a block into a system stability analysis model by coupling operation elements with each other, and the system is analyzed with this model. Furthermore, a transfer function, where each element function of this model, the line resistance of one unit infinite bus, and the reactance of a line are approximated linearly to them with the change of minute regions, is obtained, and it is taken as a linear approximate analysis model where transfer functions are coupled with each other, and the system is analyzed with this model.
