PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to extract intended optional information from character/numerical data stored in a data base by an interactive operation, to visually display the information on a screen and to intensionally analyze multi-dimensional data. ;SOLUTION: A display object to be an optional information unit is selected from character/numeral information stored in the data base and attribute information related to the shape and arrangement information of a picture object necessary for visualization is generated as a summarized rule by utilizing the attribute information of the display object.
