PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mixing and stirring device for a storage tank for a high-level liquid waste which can uniformly mix and stir the whole in the storage tank and has a simple structure. ;SOLUTION: A check mechanism 30 is provided in a position submerged in the water at all times in an upper part of a body 21. When a compressed gas A is supplied, a stored liquid W is allowed to spout out from the bottom and return there with the mechanism 30 closed to mix and stir the liquid W. When the compressed gas A is discharged, the stored liquid W outside the upper part of the body 21 is allowed to flow into the body 21 with the mechanism 30 opened. In this way, the composition and temperature throughout the storage tank 3 is uniformed by allowing the storage liquid W in the upper part of a storage tank 3 to flow into the body 21 and spout out.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
