COSMETIC COMPOSITION BRINGING ABOUT BEAUTIFYING EFFECT BY REMOVAL OF LIVER SPOTS, DARKENING, AND WRINKLES FROM SKIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To preparing a cosmetic composition enabling prevention or removal of spots, darkening and wrinkles of the skin, and skin injuries due to ultraviolet rays, by making the composition contain amino acid-containing polysaccharides contained in aloe Africana. SOLUTION: This cosmetic composition contains, as the effective ingredient, 0.0001-5wt.% of amino acid-containing polysaccharide (aloesin), which is contained in a jellied substance in the core of leaves of aloe Africana belonging to cape aloe, which is a plant of the aloe family of Liliaceae, after the epidermis is removed from the leaves. The polysaccharide has the following properties: a) dark brown or black powder having dim odor and bitter taste; (b) when 5g of the powder is dissolved into 50g of water while heating, allowed to stand to cool down, and filtered, and the filtrate is tested as below: (1) when borax is added to the filtrate, and the solution is heated and allowed to stand to cool down, then water is added to the solution, and the solution is shacked to be well mixed, it develops a green fluorescent color; (2) when bromine is added to the solution, light yellow precipitates are caused; and (3) when nitric acid is added to the solution, it becomes brownish yellow, and turns gradually green, and it turns reddish brown by heating.
