ELECTROSTATIC PRINTING PLATE MATERIAL, PRODUCTION OF ELECTROSTATIC PRINTING PLATE AND ELECTROSTATIC PRINTING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print lots of copies once after an electrostatic printing plate is made and to improve resolution by forming each specified conductive base body, ablation layer and insulating layer to constitute the plate. ;SOLUTION: This printing plate consists of a conductive base body 41, 42 having a conductive layer in at least the surface layer part, an ablation layer 43 which is formed on the conductive layer and is modified and removed by irradiation of rays for image drawing, and an insulating layer 44 formed on the removing layer 43. A laser drawing head is operated by electric signals according to the image information to irradiate the plate with laser light so as to damage the laser ablation layer (ablation layer) 43 and to remove the insulating layer 44. Thus, an image pattern of the insulating layer 43 is formed on the conductive base body 41, 42. When the laser ablation layer 43 has conductivity, it is enough only to damage and remove the insulating layer 44 although the conductive layer 42 is not completely exposed. By irradiation of drawing rays, the insulating layer 44 is removed to form an image pattern to obtain an image of high resolution.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
