PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the compact formation of a driving case for internally installing a speed change mechanism even in the case of a speed change device in which the speed change operation of a speed change operating shaft of a speed change shifter installed in the speed change mechanism is performed with an operating lever in the transverse feed speed change device for a seedling-carrying platform equipped with the a speed change inputting shaft for transmitting a power to a rotation screw shaft with a selected speed change gear and the speed change shifter for changing over the selection of the speed change gear in a speed change mechanism internally installed in the driving case of the transverse feed rotation screw shaft. ;SOLUTION: This transverse feed speed change device for a seedling-carrying platform in a transplanter is obtained by installing a speed change inputting shaft 13 and a speed change operating shaft 21 parallel to each other in the front and rear positions under a rotation screw shaft 9, arranging an operating lever 11 for the speed change operating shaft 21 above the speed change operating shaft 21 and installing a shift fork 26 for the speed change operating shaft 21 in a rotation fulcral shaft 36 for the operating lever 11 arranged on the inside of a driving case 4.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
