PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare the subject agent and the subject composition, having excellent suppressing actions on bacterial endotoxin activities and suppressing effects on the bacterial adhesion and safe even by use for a long period by using specific three kinds of compounds and nontoxic salts thereof as active ingredients. ;SOLUTION: The neutralizing agent for periodontopathic bacterial endotoxins and suppressant for the adhesion of periodontopathic causative bacteria contain one or more selected from polylysine, glutamic acid and aspartic acid and nontoxic salts thereof as active ingredients. The pharmaceutical preparation containing the polylysine in combination with the glutamic acid and aspartic acids is especially preferred. The formulating ratio thereof is preferably (1:5):1 of the polylysine and glutamic acid or aspartic acid. A polypeptide in which 10-40, especially 20-30 lysines are connected is preferred as the polylysine. A composition for an oral cavity is obtained by including the one or more selected from polylysine, glutamic acid and aspartic acid and nontoxic salts thereof as the active ingredient for neutralizing the periodontopathic bacterial endotoxins and/or the active ingredient for suppressing the adhesion of periodontopathic causative bacteria therein.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
