PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust Mn content in steel in a high hitting ratio by continuously analyzing dust in the waste gas of a converter and checking refining conditions. ;SOLUTION: Dust collecting water in a dust collector 3 is continuously taken with a quantitative pump 5 and quantitatively diluted into a prescribed concn. in a mixing tank 6 to make an analyzing sample, and this sample is introduced into an ICP spectral analyzer with a quantitative pump 10 for sample to continuously obtain the analyzed value in the dust component in the exhaust gas. The refining condition can be checked from the variations of Fe concn. and Zn concn. etc., and since effective Mn in the molten steel is obtd. from accumulation of the Mn concn., the Mn can be adjusted in the high hitting ratio.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
